The Faces of Our Organization

Dr. Savita Nagpal
Driven by the need to express her eco-activist identity, Dr. Savita founded Slim Homes in 2017.
She started her journey by holding awareness programs regarding open defecation, menstrual hygiene, abortions, open dumping & burning of garbage, in association with an NGO, Ritinjali.
A Founding Member & Vice President of The Association of Practicing Pathologists, Delhi. Dr Savita Nagpal has been running a self-owned Diagnostic Laboratory in South Delhi since the last 25 years. She has to her credit several publications in National & International indexed journals and has co-authored a chapter in Contemporary Perspective on Assisted Reproductive Technology.

Meenakshi Jain
Meenakshi joined Slim Homes in September 2017. Ever since then, it has become her second home, where she found her parallel identity as a front-runner worker in the Vasant Kunj chapter. The novel idea of raising funds through Garage Sales resonated with her own sense of de-cluttering for a cause.

Dr. Sarla Aggarwal
Prof & Head, Deptt of Pathology ,UCMS& GTB Hospital, Delhi. Dr Sarla Agarwal’s journey as a doctor seeded behaviours of social responsibility, that led her to partner on initiatives centering around education, waste management and environment.

Sanjula
Sanjula Gupta is a Chartered Accountant and has been practicing for the past 29 years, and despite being a numbers person by profession, she is a naturalist at heart. Not willing to be a mute witness to the abuse of environment, she joined Slim Homes to promote ecofriendly living.

Dr. Naju Seth
Ph. D. Associate Professor (retired)Department of English Jesus & Mary College, University of Delhi.
Dr. Seth believes issues regarding the environment are the foremost concern of every thinking person. So, on the day of her retirement, 31st August 2019, after a career of forty years teaching at the University of Delhi, Dr Seth joined the EcoFest organized by Slim Homes, and thereafter, has been actively involved with strategizing with the Slim Homes’ Team.

Bhavuk Nagpal
Describing himself as a biophilic person, Bhavuk Nagpal loves nature and strongly believes in protecting the environment for present and future generations. He is an ardent supporter of sustainable concepts and practices aimed at eliminating waste and the continual use of resources.
Nagpal is chemical engineer by training and started his career commissioning and managing operations of a petrochemical process plant, thereby gaining exposure to the science and operations of large-scale effluent treatment plants, and learning the importance and impact of waste management. Nagpal is a graduate of Brown University, USA, and has worked with Fortune 500 companies and start-ups, across geographies, functions, and industries. He currently works with Siemens Digital Industries Software as Global Marketing Planner for Automotive, Transportation, and Heavy Equipment industries.

Eshani Jain
Eshani has always had the drive to better the environment and thereby, joined Slim Homes during its inception to create impact in her locality. She has led the fundraising efforts for the organization by organizing numerous garage sales and collaborating with partner organizations for the Eco Fest.
On the professional front, she is a business graduate from Jesus and Mary College, Delhi University and presently works at UrbanCompany as a Strategy and Business Operations Manager

Gautam Nagpal
Gautam joined Slim homes with the vision and drive to better the environment. Gautam helps out with finance and accounting as well as web design of the organization. Professionally, Gautam is an interest rate and currency trader at Blackrock in Singapore. He graduated from Singapore Management University with a degree in Economics.

Misbah Reshi
Misbah Reshi is a law student at Campus Law Centre, University of Delhi, and a graduate from St. Stephen's College. She has contributed to various human rights reports focusing on minority rights in India. Her interest in working for the betterment of the environment started when she was in school and campaigned in her locality with Dr. Savita Nagpal to stop the use of crackers on Diwali.
